Landmark Journey of Afghan Farmers to the United Kingdom
3-6 February 2006
London / Blackburn

uk
Following the International Donor’s conference Afghan farmers came to London with an urgent plea to save their livelihoods.

Farmers asked the UK Government to veto plans to eradicate their crops and to include opium licensing for medicines in the drug strategy for Afghanistan.

Farmers also travelled to Blackburn to meet with individuals and communities affected by problem heroin use in the UK.
